I will likely write more about this later, when it isn’t so shocking and raw, but I had to share this bit. It turns out that one of my freshmen, into whom I practically beat the practice of understanding topic/purpose/audience and social contracts BEFORE beginning communication, may well be using the skills she learned in my class to advocate on my behalf.
