Oh dear GODDESS! After the weekend spent listening to students’ excuses about why they couldn’t finish all their work (and grading the work they DID do), this was EXACTLY what I needed to see.

That is so unfair. That professor is trying to subvert the primary purpose of college which is to provide a place for students to conduct their social lives.
Sadly for me, when I was in college, I had no social life, so was left with nothing else to do but read the material, attend the classes, and do the assignments.
Life is unfair.
